The Canada Salsa Congress is the largest salsa dance festival ever staged in Canada and is an annual event which celebrates the diverse and creative talents of salsa dancers coming together from across the country and all over the world. This premier 4 day event provides a forum to showcase Canadian talent as well as to expose the Canadian dance scene to some of the most innovative and inspirational instructors and performers from around the world.  Over the past 4 years, the event has motivated, enhanced and elevated the dance training of over fifteen thousand dance teachers, students, performers and dance aficionados- and this year only gets better!

We are pleased to announce that the Canada Salsa Congress will now play host to the 1st Annual Canadian Salsa Championships. This official qualifying competition will send first place winners in each division to represent Canada at the 2007 World Salsa Championships in December, held in Disney World, Florida and broadcast by ESPN.

This year’s Canada Salsa Congress features an outstanding lineup of performers, elite instructors, and intense competitors.   We look forward to providing a weekend where professional dancers, beginner students, social dancers, choreographers, instructors and musicians are able to nurture their talent and develop a deeper love and appreciation of salsa dancing.

Event Highlights
• Largest Salsa event held in Canada; Friday, Saturday and Sunday events will be taking place at the Sheraton Centre Hotel, 123 Queen St. west in Toronto.

• Opening Night Gala on Thursday October 4th, 2007 featuring the Canadian Salsa Championships.  Location: Live @ Courthouse, 57 Adelaide St. E.  Doors open 9pm.  Tickets are $20, available at the door only.
• 2 days of intensive salsa workshops with the world’s top instructors from Puerto Rico, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Boston, Chicago, New Jersey, the U.K and across Canada.  We are proud to present the best line-up of internationally-renowned instructors ever to teach in Canada.  Over 35 workshops to choose from, beginner to advanced levels (Sat. Oct. 6th and Sun. Oct. 7th from 11am to 5pm)
• Live Salsa band featured on Sat. Oct. 6th: Jimmy Bosch and his Orchestra, direct from New York
• Over 60 electrifying dance performances by some of the world's greatest salsa dance
companies  (Fri. Oct. 5th, Sat. Oct. 6th and Sun. Oct. 7th from 9:30pm-11:00pm)
• Dance until dawn!  3 nights of sizzling Salsa parties until 4am.
