January kicks off to a fiery start with Peruvian jazz festival and South American inspired cuisine and cocktails
Toronto, ON - Come in from the cold and experience an incendiary January with Drake. Sip refreshing Pisco Sours by the warm fireplace in Drake's plush lounge while enjoying sizzling Peruvian Jazz. Revel in incandescent South American music and cuisine with Chef Anthony Rose's Peruvian 3-course, prix fixe menu available from January 9th – 22nd for $33 per person.
Smoldering jazz is kicked up with the intoxicating rhythms of coastal Perú. Trumpeter, composer and founder of Jazz Peru Internacional, Gabriel Alegría combines distinctive jazztrumpet with the rich heritage of Afro-Peruvian music. Gabriel is joined by saxophonist Laurandrea Leguía, guitarist Yuri Juárez, bassist Ramon de Bruyn and drummer Hugo Alcázar. Master percussionist Freddy "Huevito" Lobatón plays traditional Afro-Peruvian instruments such as the box drum and jaw bone and adds spectacular passages of Zapateo dancing. Sizzling and dynamic, you won't soon forget this unique musical experience.
