Smoldering jazz is kicked up with the intoxicating rhythms of coastal Perú. Trumpeter, composer and founder of Jazz Peru Internacional, Gabriel Alegría combines distinctive  jazztrumpet with the rich heritage of Afro-Peruvian music. Gabriel is joined by saxophonist Laurandrea Leguía, guitarist Yuri Juárez, bassist Ramon de Bruyn and drummer Hugo Alcázar. Master percussionist Freddy "Huevito" Lobatón plays traditional Afro-Peruvian instruments such as the box drum and jaw bone and adds spectacular passages of Zapateo dancing. Sizzling and dynamic, you won't soon forget this unique musical experience. |
